Amish Paradise
In his travels, my dad has been to all parts of the country. In his last adventures, he found himself in Amish country. He told me he was in Indiana, only about 10 miles south of Michigan. He said it was cold too. It snowed several days of the two weeks he was up there. But it didn't slow the Amish down. He said he passed 4 or 5 small Amish kids one morning on their way to school. He then told me that it was about 5 degrees outside and snow covered everything. One of the kids drug a sled behind him. But it wasn't for playing. It carried the kids' lunches and books. It was like that everywhere. He was constantly running into people walking or riding their bikes to their destinations. The lucky ones were traveling in their horse and buggy. In total, there was about a foot of snow on the ground when he left. Here are some pictures of his travels.
